Through many, many prayers, thoughts and great medical attention, he is on the road to recovery and will be undergoing rehabilitation in Houston very shortly. Wow, Finally got a chance to log on to see classmates I have not seen in 30 years. I think this is a great website, It really is a great way to stay connected. Although I must confess I am still emotional for the beautiful tribute to the classmates that has passed on. Simply beautiful! I do wish I would have made it to the reunion this year, but I flew back to Seattle to finalize my only son's affairs and help my oldest daughter move back to Texas to be near me and the rest of our family. Logging on to this website has brought back so many good memories and I would like to commend you all who worked hard to put his together. The pictures were awesome! Looks like you guys did party like it was 1979. |

| Hello fellow classmates. I just wanted to invite those interested, to come out to Delta Downs this week. This will be our final week of quarterhorse racing until the thoroughbreds run starting at the end of October. For those that have never been, the races are free to watch and many people bring their children. Most people bring lawn chairs and sit right at the finish line but if it's too hot you may sit inside in the A/C. A few years ago Delta got a facelift and they added a casino. They also, have good food. ..... This week we race Thursday thru Sunday ( July 9 thru July 12). There are usually at least ten races a night starting @ 6:00 p.m. and we are usually done by 11:00 p.m..... Just wanted to let you guys know that the races are free. In todays economy,,, free, is good. Fellow classmate, Rickey Blagburn, is the television director. I hope some of you can make it this week end. Hope you have a wonderful summer. Russ | |||

| I was heart broken to have missed our 30th reunion. I hope I will have another chance in the future to see all of you. I don't take things for granted like I did when I was younger.... We lost some great friends in the last ten years. I knew Jackie Wilson since about the fifth grade. Johnny Kellis was in my Sunday school class when we were kids. Donald "Tuffy" Bishop gave me a job in his restaurant when I got laid off one time. I saw Chad Harmon quite a few times after graduation and he always had time to extend a warm greeting. Mike Conley and I used to run the roads together. He was a great drummer but he was a greater human being. He never came to a reunion. I think he may have thought that no one cared. He was wrong... I miss them all. It's sad how time has stolen our youth and taken a little spring out of our step. Today we remain young at heart and have learned to respect one another. Good luck to you all. Joshua is 30 and has a little boy named Matthew who turned 6 on May 25th and they live in Houston. Randi Gail is 28 and she lives in London, and Rhiannon is 23 and lives in Richardson and will be moving to Lubbock soon for her Masters Degree. We have 3 children which are adults now, well atleast they are of adult age. lol. Oldest son is 28 and married for 3 years, next son is 22 in college, and the youngest is our daughter 19 in college also WHOOPEE!
